Day 1

Well, I made it through the first day. My first day in literally YEARS that I have not had any soda/pop AT ALL!I had breezed through the grocery store last night to get some last minute items and I came across some of those cute little drink packets you put in your bottled water. I drank FIVE 16.9oz bottles today. I got the peach tea with the + on metabolism. I didn't even miss my SODA! I still can't believe it. And another bonus - I wasn't hungry at all. That's the truth. Getting down 84 1/2 ounces of water is nothing short of a miracle. I haven't drank water since 6th grade(yuck)maybe since birth. I hate water drinking. I am one of those people who can puke on the spot drinking even the slightest tepid water. I'm not a fan of milk either. I may be up all night but hey, I got me some water in me. Maybe after a while, my alligator scaly skin will freshen up a bit.

Thank you to those who emailed me off blog and sadekat who posted here awesome words of encouragement. It helps to know you're not alone and there are others out there who understand what you're going through.

I can't wait to weigh in the morning. According to the South Beach book, I should expect to lose 8-11 pounds within the first week to 10 days. That would be such a great start.

I used Ethan's WII Fit tonight and Stephanie had me going really good on the hula hoop exercise. I really like the fact it tells you your BMI and weighs you. Even though my wiime is a roly poly olie. Is that show still on? Oh, yeah, back to dieting.
